I was appalled to read Rory Reynolds' description of a perfume as being "dirty as a Napier student's crack den".

I was appalled to read Rory Reynolds' description of a perfume as being "dirty as a Napier student's crack den". Such lazy journalism serves only to reinforce the overwhelming preoccupation with class for which Edinburgh is notorious.
